What is chlorella and what does it do?

Chlorella, also known as Chlorella vulgaris, is a single-celled algae that is extremely tiny that can be found growing in fresh water primarily in Japan and Taiwain. It’s also found in dark, green leafy foods like spinach.

Chlorella is considered a whole food which is very rich in caretenoids, including flavoxanthin, loraxanthin, neoxanthin, violaxanthin, canthaxanthin, and astaxanthin. It also contains enzyms like pepsin, protein, and chlorophyll.

Chlorella has the highest content of chlorophyll of any plants in the world.

What are the benefits of taking chlorella?

Chlorella has many beneficial effects on the immune system because of it’s contents that include chlorophyll. Chlorphyll has been proven to help improve and strengthen our immune system, while shows the benefits of chlorella to do the same.

As a bountiful source of vitamins, chlorella is able to stimulate the production of red blood cells in our body, as well as the ability to aide in muscle growth (arterial dilation), in addition to improving metabolism and respiration, as well as the oxygenation of muscle tissue.

Chlorella is rich in fiber and encourages intestinal microflora production, which has the ability to result in the decrease or elimination of food craving, enlarged feelings of being full, and better food elimination and reduction of fat storage.

How much chlorella should I take?
